John Tybetot, knight, father of Robert, granted the premises for 14 years to William Dencourt, late lord of GranebyBy a fine levied in the king’s court with the king’s licence in the octave of Trinity, 22 Edward III, and granted and recorded in a month from Michaelmas in the same year, between John Tybetott and Elizabeth his wife, querents, and John de Sandale, parson of the church of Arkesay, and John de Kyneton, parson of the church of Radclif, deforciants, touching the manors of Bentelay and Haunthwayte and the advowson of the church of Arkessay, the said John Tybetot acknowledged the manors and advowson to be the right of the deforciants, who thereupon granted them to him and Elizabeth his wife for life, with remainder to Robert his son and the heirs of the body of the said Robert by Margaret daughter of William Deyncourt, and with remainder over to his right heirs... held jointly with Margaret his wife, who survives".
