John Blakett, Knight 1) Died 24 Jun 1430 2) 3)
Election: Elected 3 times as MP for Leicestershire, and once as MP for Gloucestershire between 1407 and 1421 3) Notes: Firstly, married Margaret, daughter of Ralph Hastings. Second, Margaret daughter and co-heir of Thomas Beaupyne of Bristle, widow of William Worfton (based on History of Parliament) or Margaret Eylesford (based on other secondary sources). Thirdly, Elizabeth, daughter of John Trillow. Married between 1409 and 1412 3) to: Margaret Unknown Notes: Either Margaret de Eynesford, or Margaret Beaupyne (based on online family trees) - needs to be reviewed further. History of Parliament cites Thomas Beaupyne's IPM as evidence for his second wife being Margaret. Margaret, wife of William Worston is a joint-heir of Thomas (with her sisters), per the IPM. But this does not evidence that this is the same Margaret who then married John, nor does it evidence that she was Ann's mother. Margaret's (widow of Thomas) IPM, dated 1409, identifies Margaret, widowed, as one of her heirs, aged 24. Victoria County History for Iccomb weakly identifies Margaret Eynesford as wife of Roger Blakett, father of John Blakett. Child: |
