Notes: The Counts of Albon were medieval counts of an area in the Rhone valley, around Vienne (France - not Vienna), but not the county of Vienne itself. As all the early counts were called Guiges, it is exceptionally difficult to accurately differentiate between the different generations. There is a continuous line of Guigues back to at least 996, and that Guigues may even have been the son of a Guiges, count of Vienne.

George de Manteyer sugests that this Guigues was the son of Guigues and Wandalmoda. Son of Guigues. Son of Rostaing and Bertilde. Son of Rostaing and Sufficie. These early generations have not been listed here, given the lack of certainty and very limited evidence.
