Notes: This is probably the Edward Elliott baptised 21st August 1791 at Ovingham, son of John Elliott and Alice of Welton. While his death certificate gives a date of birth c1784 and the censuses say c1776, c1778 and c1781,.given Edward's youngest child was born in 1826, given he only married in 1813, and given his wife was born c1796, a date as early as 1776 seems unlikely.

Edward was a Wesleyan - with Wesleyan baptism records identified for his four children following Frances, all at Gateshead chapel, Durha...
