William's wife is never referred to as Ermengarde. Geberga is sometimes considered to be the same individual as Ermengarde d'Anjou, on the basis that the Saint Aubin genealogies only give William one daughter - Ermengarde. This is a very weak reason for conflating what would seem to be two entirely distinct daughters based on names, locations etc. 3.  Fulk III 'Nerra' d'Anjou, Count of Anjou 10) 11) 3)Born between 965 and 970 12) Died 21 Jun 1040 Metz, Moselle, Lorraine, France 12) Notes: Various charters identified Fulk's father as Geoffrey. The Chronicle of the Counts of Anjou states he was a son of Maurice - this is incorrect. Maurice was consul for a period, and a brother of Fulk, but not his father. | |||
