Moreover, the only recorded William de Gometz does not fit from a chronological perspective. Married/ Related to:  Amaury I de Montfort, Lord of Montfort l'Amaury 2)Died after 1060 2) Notes: Amaury's origins are unclear. He may have been the son of William of Hainaut (Orderic Vitalis), however there are no further records mentioning William and it is unclear how / if he might havve been related to the Counts of Hainaut.
