Notes: The 1569 visitation for Worcestershire identifies William's wife as "dau. and heir of John Arrell of Arrell". There is no independent primary evidence for that claim. While William did own Arle Court (the home of the Arrells) and the Greville's did it inherit it form the Arrells, that inheritance was through Robert Greville - William's brother. William subsequently purchased Arle Court from his brother.

The 1623 Gloucestershire visitation correctly identifies the Arrell relationship.
