Married ± 982 2) to: Adelaide-Blanche d'Anjou 2) 3) Born between 945 and 950 2) Died 1026 2) Buried Montmajor, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain 2), 1st marriage to: William I of Provence, Count of Arles, Count of Provence, 2nd marriage to: Raymond of Toulouse, Prince of Gothia Notes: That Adelaide-Blanche is the mother of William II is clearly demonstrated by contemporary charter evidence. While several mainstream reference works have identified Arsinde de Comminges as William II's mother, those works are incorrect. For example, see Adelaide's charter, dated 1018 where she is identified as WIlliam's mother: http://www.cn-telma.fr/originaux/charte3995/. There are at least 4 other independent charters verifying this claim. Adelaide alias Blanche married at least four times. Children: |
