The manor held by the said Walter and Alice his wife...Walter son of William Heron had no lands or tenements in the county; he had a daughter named Emelina, now aged 7 1/2, who is his next heir in blood; she is likewise next heir of William father of the said Walter, who held the manor of Haddeston of the king in chief, and died at Newcastle upon Tyne on Sunday before the feast of St. Thomas last. The said Walter died long before the said William. Mary late the wife of the said William is dowered by the king’s command of a third part of the aforesaid manor.
