Notes: Bořivoj was the first historically documented Duke of Bohemia and progenitor of the Přemyslid dynasty. Cosmas's chornicle identifies he was born to one Hostivit ("Gostivit begat Bořivoj, who was the first duke to be baptized"), but this is very likely legendary.

Borivoj's year of birth is unclear: the Chronicle states he was baptised in 894, but identifies various events occuring at tthe time of his baptism from at least ten years earlier. Spytihněv succeeds Borivoj as Duke of Bohemia in 895 according to Cosmas.
