Family
Fulk of Angoulême 1) Died ± 1087 2) Notes: Probably Count from around 1048 when his father died, until his decease. Very little is known about his reign. Married/ Related to: Uncertain 1) Notes: Fulk's wife is named in the Historia Pontificum - as a daughter of Ounormani Vagena, named Condo. Ournormani is often identified as Eu des Normans - which could make Fulk's wife a daughter of Robert, Count of Eu. That, though, does not explain the reference to Vagena - and there is no other contemporary evidence supporting this marriage. Child: 1. William V of Angoulême, Count of Angoulême 3) 4)Died ± 1120 This is the earliest known date of a charter by Vulgrin II when he signs as Count. Notes: William V, was also known as William Taillefer. He was Count from around 1087, until his death c1120. Visited Jerusalem towards the end of his life. |
