The manor, held in fee tail, by the enfeoffment of Thomas de Wherleton, parson of the church of Rudby, to the said Nicholas and the heirs male of his body, with remainders to Nicholas, son of Lucy daughter of Robert de Tweng, and the heirs male of his body, and to the right heirs of the said Nicholas de Menill, by fine levied in the king’s court;... but five years before his death he enfeoffed thereof the said Nicholas son of Lucy according to the form of the fine aforesaid.
