man Adalbert I of Vermandois, Count of Vermandois‏‎
Born ‎between 915 and 917
Died ‎9 Sep 988‎

Notes: Whether Adalbert (or Albert) of Vermandois is father of Otto of Chiny is very unclear. The evidence in favour is limited:- Adalbert had a younger son named Otto, and Otto of Warcq was described as having imperial ancestry. Leon Vanderkindere therefore proposed they were the same person. While shown here, this is highly conjectural.

Children:

1.
man Otto I of Warcq, Count of Chiny‏
Died ‎987

Notes: Otto of Warcq being father of Louis I of Chiny is unproven. An Otto was father of Louis, but he is not necessarily the same individual as the Otto of Warcq with imperial ancestry. If the two Ottos are not the same, then Adalbert is definitely not grandfather of Louis I.
2.
man Herbert III of Vermandois, Count of Vermandois‏
Born ‎953
Died ‎1015‎, 61 or 62 years
